100% of proceeds benefit Arizona non-profits.

March 15, 2017 (Tucson, AZ) — Firefighters and brewers have joined forces once again for the second annual Baja Beer Festival on April 22 at Rillito Park. A truly local celebration, all proceeds benefit the Northwest Firefighters Charities and the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild.

The Baja Beer Festival will feature over 50 breweries, 200 beers, local food vendors, and live music. In addition to craft beer samples, event-goers will be able to sample specialty beers from firefighter/brewer teams from across the state who are brewing beers exclusively for this event. These collaborative beers will be judged at Baja Beer Festival by a panel of celebrity and home brewer judges.

Funds raised will go in part toward the Northwest Firefighters Charities, whose list of programs aim to give back to the community while strengthening a stronger relationship with those they serve. One of the programs, Care After Contact, in a unique service where firefighters can help the community while on service calls.

While responding to emergency incidents, firefighters often encounter families and individuals that are in dire need of help.” said event organizer and firefighter Brian Sturgeon. “When our firefighters see a family in need while performing their duties, they can alert Northwest Firefighters Charities to the situation, who will reach out to these families to get them the support they need.”

The cause is one that local breweries are excited to support. Steve Tracy, owner at Thunder Canyon Brewery, has been partnering with Northwest Firefighters Charities for years, and looks forward to supporting the organization at Baja Beer Festival. “The event is great opportunity to enjoy the best craft beer Arizona has to offer, all while supporting a great cause,” said Tracy. “We hope to see the city turn out on April 22.”

Baja Beer Festival will take place at the Rillito Park on April 22 from 4pm-9pm. General admission tickets are $40 and VIP tickets are $60. Tickets can be purchased at BajaBeerFestival.com. Limited early bird pricing available while supplies last.
