Beer Mine: Arizona Beer Week Announces Valentine’s Day Event Preview

PHOENIX, Ariz. – This Valentine’s Day, forgo the reservation at the fancy restaurant in favor of something sure to bring a smile to your loved one’s face: beer. Valentine’s Day conveniently falls within Arizona Beer Week year after year, and this year’s lineup of themed V-Day events are sure to please both the lovesick and lovelorn.


Kick things off Sunday, Feb. 12 by joining the Fine Valentine Relay and afterparty at Gentle Ben’s Brewing Co. in Tucson, where kids, adults and relay teams can take part in races of varying lengths as well as costume and PDA contests, among other festivities. Those in the Scottsdale area can cruise over to TT Roadhouse that same day, where SKA Brewing and guest Huss Brewing will host a crew departing on SKA’s 7th annual SKA St. Valentine’s Day Cruiser Bike Ride at 12 pm.


On Valentine’s Day (Tuesday, Feb. 14), Flagstaff favorite Lumberyard Brewing Co. will host a Beer and Chocolate Pairing, where guests can score a flight of three 5 oz. brews paired with three house-made chocolates for only $9. Down south, Tucson’s Mudshark’s St. Valentine’s Day Puppy Love Yappy Hour benefitting Save the Pets is slated for 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Arizona Beer House.


Additional holiday highlights include Dubina Brewing’s Hoppy Couples and Sour Singles Party, where the Glendale-based brewery will be serving up some special-release sours, and SunUp Brewing Co.’s “I Love You Beerly” dinner, set for 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Valentine’s Day at the brewery in Phoenix.
